2016 // What Next?

2016.

Happy new year!! For many, January feels like a fresh start, a clean slate. People set new goals and are inspired to break bad habits and begin some good ones. I see a new year as an exciting time of wonder. I look back and am in awe of all that has happened. I am so thankful for my relationship with Jesus and the amazing people and places.

I have been seeking God for what the next steps are for me and what 2016 would look like. While in Mozambique I found myself asking God many questions about my life in ministry and where He saw it going. He grew in my heart an even greater passion for seeing people encounter his presence and be transformed. Being in Pemba I saw in such a great way how God wants to bring freedom to individuals, but also communities and nations. He has also been growing my love for worship leading, song writing and discipleship. So what next for me? I am moving to Australia once again to Staff ywam Gold Coast's next School of Worship!!

I am very excited to once again be on the mission field with ywam. I am also looking forwards to seeing all I have received in 2015 bear fruit in the year to come. So, once again, I am believing for God to provide funds, a visa, flights and everything needed to start a new season of life in the Gold Coast. I will be mentoring students coming in to learn about worship leading and who also have a hunger to see what God's heart is for the church and for the lost. I am just scratching the surface of what will be happening, but I will share more as we go! I hope as you look ahead to another year, you will dream bigger then just working out more or looking at your Facebook new feed less. Ask God what 2016 holds for you and have courage. Step out and take chances. Love the people in front of you. Laugh more and keep things simple. Don't compare, but instead grab on to your own destiny with confidence. Allow yourself to feel all life brings, but don't let those feelings rule you. Slow down and savor moments. Value rest and be kind to your heart. Above all, say yes to God and believe He loves you and has a plan for your life. If this next year doesn't bring me closer to God, there is no point. If you desire to know God more, then tell Him!! Jesus, I want to know you more. I want to receive your love and plan for my life. Show me who you are!!

Jesus is the greatest adventure.

Airlie Beach

Hello there, sorry about taking forever to update!! So last week I went on a 16 hour road trip (not including the stops and such) to Airlie Beach. Its this Beautiful location right on the ocean and a group of about 20 people from my DTS went there to help with schoolies. Schoolies is a big party after the Australians graduate High school. Its a big celebration put on by the government that not only involves theme parties and loud music but also drinking, drugs, abuse, and even deaths. During these weeks of partying students get into about everything imaginable. My team went into this environment with the intention of simply loving these young people and showing them we cared. We set up what was called the chai tent. it was a big tent, and inside we set up little tables with pillows around them and we served free slushies and chai tea. a lovely little update :)

Hey there, So after the week in Airlie there was a week on Spiritual Warfare and then a week of Father Heart of God. Both weeks were amazing!!! Spiritual warfare is something I really didn't know much about and it is something I have a bit of a hard time understanding, but it is very real and so powerful. We have so much authority against Satin and it goes unrecognized and that isn't good. Father Heart of God week made me really begin to appreciate my dad, and the rest of my family, and also it gave me a clearer perspective in seeing God as my father and daddy. Then a very cool guy named Mark Parker from New Zealand came and helped us really surrender ourselves to God and the Holy Spirit. He spoke all week on Lordship. Then Friday we began at 8:30 in the morning and all together experienced an amazing transformation till 2:30ish in the morning on Saturday. We went through different steps as a school and did different things like giving thanks, worshiping, giving burnt offeri

3 Weeks to Go!!

Greeting from Michigan!! I have 3 weeks to go until I am required to be in Pemba, Mozambique! I have no idea what to think or feel, but I am definitely excited and also facing a lot of the unknown. I miss being in the ywam Gold Coast community very much, but i know that God has a plan bigger and better then mine. So I am proclaiming in Faith that I will be in Africa in a few weeks! As of right now I do not have enough funds to get flights or apply for a visa, but God is providing in different ways and I hope to have flights by the end of the week and a my visa application in the mail.
