April Update!!

I cannot believe we are in May!! April has come and gone so quickly here at ywam Gold Coast.

We Started the month at Easterfest, volunteering in different areas of the festival and enjoying God's goodness. It rained the majority of our time there, but with rain boots and good friends around it was still an awesome weekend! I was able to help in our promotion tent, cleaning bathrooms, in the crew kitchen, by doing prophetic painting during worship in our ywam tent, and other jobs around the festival. Also, as a School of worship we lead a worship time together during 72 hour worship and we performed songs we had written about God's love for people to enjoy during the festival. It was so much fun and there were so many testimonies of God healing young people, of people getting saved, and experiencing the tangible presence of God.

After the festival we made are way back to base and have been busy with lectures, serving, song writing, worship leading and growing together. I have had a few opportunities to play in Worship for a local church, and continue to glow in worship leading here on base. An exciting testimony of how Worship is changing this community happened this past week at one of our ministries called Coffee Van. We go and hand out free tea and coffee on Thursday nights in a neighboring city and School of worship has been taking instruments down and worshiping during the outreach time. Since doing that there has been so many awesome conversations and people asking questions about God and opportunities to pray for people. Even Worshiping there has become easier. God is moving so much!

I have super exciting news about our upcoming school outreach!! I still don't know what the outreach will look like or entail, but I am excited to share that in June and July we will be staying here in Australia. We will also be going to New Zealand for 2 weeks. We will be serving in ways that apply what we have been learning about worship leading and hosting God's presence. While we are doing that, the current Dts will send a team to Peru and a team to Cambodia for 2 months.

I am so thankful for your prayers and your support as I continue to pursue God here in Australia. Please pray for health for me, I have been sick this past week and need to be 100 percent as soon as possible. Also, pray for my school's and the dts's finances. Praise the Lord I have more then enough for outreach, but many others have needs and we need to see some miracles.

Blessings!
Lindsey Burton
