Pieces of Mozambique

Here are some moments from my life in Mozambique!!

Going into villages means there are lots of new friends to spend time with. We sing songs and dance together. We paint their nails and they give us mangoes.

While leaving one of the villages, the locals were singing outside our caravan. So of coarse, being a Mozambican, this little guy started to dance!!! He was so cheeky but he had good moves.

As 250 people from 30 different nations came together for this season with Iris Global, Mozambican pastors from all over the country also came to get training at a Bible School Iris offers. We had so much fun coming together in the presence of God. Mozambicans have so much passion and joy. It is beautiful!!

Life looks very different in the cities then in the village. Because we were a truck load of while people, many would come to sell us fruit, bread, cokes and fried food. Sometimes it was exactly what we needed to get through our road trips to the bush. Mangoes for everyone!!

While staying in a village on weekend outreach, we would all put up our tents and create our own little tent village. Heidi Baker likes to say it;s the 10,000 star hotel experience.

While in Pemba, we lived in community, doing everything together. Sometimes this was a blast and other times it was definitely a choice of am I going to love right now or be selfish. I lived with 11 other amazing women of God. Some of the most generous and encouraging people!!We made it through the fire together.
