October Update and New Opportunities!!!

G'day Everybody!

Exciting things are happening Here at YWAM Brisbane. The October Music, Art, and Dance Discipleship Training School Started last week. This week they have been in lectures learning about the Character and Nature of God. It is so exciting to here their revelations and the different things they are looking forward to this 6 months. I have taken on more responsibility in the Hospitality department on base and have been able to train new students in work duties and also plan a goodbye party for some staff who are leaving YWAM. Really exciting and also challenging. Soon Christmas planning will start and I am stoked!

Something else I want to share with you are some plans I am making for November and December. As staff on the BLS school, I have 4 weeks of Vacation time in my 18 month commitment. I don't believe that it is the wisest choice to go back to the states for this time because plane tickets are really expensive and it would be better to save what support I have been given to go towards my next school and outreach. It isn't the easiest decision to make, but before I know it August 2014 will come and I will be looking into moving back to Michigan. So, my plan is to go to New Zealand for a few weeks at the end of November. I mentored a girl from near Auckland and will be able to stay with her for a bit and then The first week of December I am going to do a school of Worship in Tauranga, NZ. It is a week long intensive that focuses on growing people in Worship Ministry. I am still working out details and would appreciate prayer as I am in the process of planning this time. I really feel God is calling me to New Zealand to rest and to be Spiritually fed and grow in my revelations of worship. I will keep you updated on how things are going!!

Airlie Beach

Hello there, sorry about taking forever to update!! So last week I went on a 16 hour road trip (not including the stops and such) to Airlie Beach. Its this Beautiful location right on the ocean and a group of about 20 people from my DTS went there to help with schoolies. Schoolies is a big party after the Australians graduate High school. Its a big celebration put on by the government that not only involves theme parties and loud music but also drinking, drugs, abuse, and even deaths. During these weeks of partying students get into about everything imaginable. My team went into this environment with the intention of simply loving these young people and showing them we cared. We set up what was called the chai tent. it was a big tent, and inside we set up little tables with pillows around them and we served free slushies and chai tea. a lovely little update :)

Hey there, So after the week in Airlie there was a week on Spiritual Warfare and then a week of Father Heart of God. Both weeks were amazing!!! Spiritual warfare is something I really didn't know much about and it is something I have a bit of a hard time understanding, but it is very real and so powerful. We have so much authority against Satin and it goes unrecognized and that isn't good. Father Heart of God week made me really begin to appreciate my dad, and the rest of my family, and also it gave me a clearer perspective in seeing God as my father and daddy. Then a very cool guy named Mark Parker from New Zealand came and helped us really surrender ourselves to God and the Holy Spirit. He spoke all week on Lordship. Then Friday we began at 8:30 in the morning and all together experienced an amazing transformation till 2:30ish in the morning on Saturday. We went through different steps as a school and did different things like giving thanks, worshiping, giving burnt offeri

3 Weeks to Go!!

Greeting from Michigan!! I have 3 weeks to go until I am required to be in Pemba, Mozambique! I have no idea what to think or feel, but I am definitely excited and also facing a lot of the unknown. I miss being in the ywam Gold Coast community very much, but i know that God has a plan bigger and better then mine. So I am proclaiming in Faith that I will be in Africa in a few weeks! As of right now I do not have enough funds to get flights or apply for a visa, but God is providing in different ways and I hope to have flights by the end of the week and a my visa application in the mail.
