SOW Outreach: New Zealand

Greetings once again from Australia!!

Our School of Worship outreach is going really well. My team and I spent the last 2 weeks in Queenstown, New Zealand. It is a beautiful city on the South Island. We were blessed to be involved in ministry opportunities there and serve those who have committed to stay more long term. As a team we are seeing how God is using us to encourage and challenge the church towards God and towards what God is calling them to.

ywam Gold Coast sent out a couple last year to pioneer a base in Queenstown. Our team was able to spend a lot of time with the new staff team that have come together to run a dts in a few weeks. We lead worship for their base meetings and lead staff training times. We were able to share some teaching on the heart of worship, organizing worship times on dts schools, musicianship, and also share some of our experiences from when we all staffed on schools. It was so amazing to share what I have been learning about worship and God's heart, but also teach from my experiences staffing in Brisbane. God is so faithful to give me more opportunities to disciple and lead.

We Partnered with a local church as well, leading worship for their Sunday meetings and for a leaders meeting they were running. I loved getting to know the pastors and seeing what journey they were on with God. I also was able to speak in one of their church services about having a Holy hunger for God that leads to activation in our lives and more of a revelation as God as our Father. Blessing this church was such an honor for us.

We also had our schedule filled with worshiping in the city and praying out God's heart for Queenstown, helping in a youth group, cooking lunch for a pastors lunch, serving at a salvation army, trying to keep our little house warm, and enjoying time together as a ministry team.

We have one month left of Outreach here at the Gold Coast. Please be praying for our team as we step out in ministry opportunities. Please also pray for me as I am seeking God for what life will look like after my School of Worship.

Airlie Beach

Hello there, sorry about taking forever to update!! So last week I went on a 16 hour road trip (not including the stops and such) to Airlie Beach. Its this Beautiful location right on the ocean and a group of about 20 people from my DTS went there to help with schoolies. Schoolies is a big party after the Australians graduate High school. Its a big celebration put on by the government that not only involves theme parties and loud music but also drinking, drugs, abuse, and even deaths. During these weeks of partying students get into about everything imaginable. My team went into this environment with the intention of simply loving these young people and showing them we cared. We set up what was called the chai tent. it was a big tent, and inside we set up little tables with pillows around them and we served free slushies and chai tea. a lovely little update :)

Hey there, So after the week in Airlie there was a week on Spiritual Warfare and then a week of Father Heart of God. Both weeks were amazing!!! Spiritual warfare is something I really didn't know much about and it is something I have a bit of a hard time understanding, but it is very real and so powerful. We have so much authority against Satin and it goes unrecognized and that isn't good. Father Heart of God week made me really begin to appreciate my dad, and the rest of my family, and also it gave me a clearer perspective in seeing God as my father and daddy. Then a very cool guy named Mark Parker from New Zealand came and helped us really surrender ourselves to God and the Holy Spirit. He spoke all week on Lordship. Then Friday we began at 8:30 in the morning and all together experienced an amazing transformation till 2:30ish in the morning on Saturday. We went through different steps as a school and did different things like giving thanks, worshiping, giving burnt offeri

3 Weeks to Go!!

Greeting from Michigan!! I have 3 weeks to go until I am required to be in Pemba, Mozambique! I have no idea what to think or feel, but I am definitely excited and also facing a lot of the unknown. I miss being in the ywam Gold Coast community very much, but i know that God has a plan bigger and better then mine. So I am proclaiming in Faith that I will be in Africa in a few weeks! As of right now I do not have enough funds to get flights or apply for a visa, but God is providing in different ways and I hope to have flights by the end of the week and a my visa application in the mail.
