May Update and Outreach Prep
Hello Everybody,
The last month has been amazing and very challenging. We have been working in our outreach teams a lot in order to prepare for 7 weeks overseas. With the 3 different schools running at the moment, YWAM Brisbane is sending out 9 different teams. The teams are Germany/Netherlands, Finland/Sweden, Norway, Japan, Guam/Saipan, India, Borneo, Australia, and Japan/Philippines. I am Co-leading a team with two Australians to Japan. We are a team of 10, 3 leaders and 7 students. Our team consists of Americans, Canadians, Australians, and a German.
Our Team Leaves June 17 for Japan until Aug. 4. We have spent a lot of time preparing and praying for our time there. It has been exciting to grow closer as a team and to make connections with people in Japan. We have 2 more weeks to really prepare ministry tools and sermons, and then we will head out. Our plans right now are to spend 3 and a half weeks in Tokyo, Japan and then 3 and a half weeks in Osaka, Japan. We will be partnering with different people and ministries in each city. While in Osaka we are staying with a YWAM Base that is just beginning at a new location. One of our main goals is to really encourage them and help them where we can. We will help with cleaning and working on the base for part of the time. Also we will be working with an orphanage and with elementary school age kids as well. There may be opportunities to teach English and work with Churches, and also doing evangelism in the city. While in Tokyo we will also be able to work with different groups and do ministry in the City.
Please pray for our team, and the others heading out soon. Some of the teams will be continuing the Pass It On Tour I have shared about previously. Because the last year has been Australia focused, now the Tour is moving on to Europe. Pray for Wisdom, Unity, Joy, and Safety for all the teams. Also, finances are still needed for most of the teams, so please be praying for a release of God's provision for us.
Lots of other things have been happening this last month as well. The schools are finishing up their lecture phase of the DTS. Each week is a new wave of revelation and freedom over the young people here. Last weekend Was Global Outreach Day. YWAM Brisbane began with worship on the night of the 24th and then starting at midnight, teams began to go out into the city to evangelize. Teams went to hand out water, worship, pray, and love on people. All through the night amazing things were happening!! So many stories of God's goodness and glory. in the morning, Teams began going out to different location to continue a day of stepping out and having Faith. Sports events, reading the bible, more worship, conversations, flash mobs, coffee shop ministries, free work out in the city, and more. We ended the night with worship and sharing testimonies. Amazing!!

I am blessed to be doing the Basic Leadership School and am learning a lot. I know that every struggle is worth it because God is teaching me so much.
