Australia!!

 Hey there! so I made it finally to my new home after about 30 hours of insanity. Thanks so much for all your prayers and support and i am excited for what God will do in my life this next 6 months. Its beautiful here and i have already seen some cool little creatures, including a little lizard on the wall in my room. Its going to be a crazy time and i will try to update what is going on often. I miss you Michigan!!

Update for the month of Feb!! and weekly Schedule

Hey everyone! Our MAD DTS 2013 began February 13. We have 9 staff and 17 students. Week one of the dts was on the Character and Nature of God. We had our lectures with the Beach 2 Bush and Sports DTSs as well. It was an amazing first week. Last week The MAD school had teachings on Hearing the Voice of God. Jason Salari, who was my DTS school leader, was the speaker. He has amazing communication skills and is a man who lives what He teaches. I want to take some time to explain more of our weekly schedule here on the MAD DTS. I hope this gives you a better picture of what we are doing here in Brisbane!!! Monday: (7:30-8:00) -  The MAD staff get together and pray (8:00-10:30)  - We do some base wide cleaning together and then have a community meeting (10:30-12:30)- Lecture time for students and staff (2:30-3:30) - Family time as a school (3:30-5:30) - Students work on homework and the Staff have a meeting (7:30-9:00) - Some sort of school activity or teaching ...

Pieces of Mozambique

Here are some moments from my life in Mozambique!! Going into villages means there are lots of new friends to spend time with. We sing songs and dance together. We paint their nails and they give us mangoes.  While leaving one of the villages, the locals were singing outside our caravan. So of coarse, being a Mozambican, this little guy started to dance!!! He was so cheeky but he had good moves.  As 250 people from 30 different nations came together for this season with Iris Global, Mozambican pastors from all over the country also came to get training at a Bible School Iris offers. We had so much fun coming together in the presence of God. Mozambicans have so much passion and joy. It is beautiful!! Life looks very different in the cities then in the village. Because we were a truck load of while people, many would come to sell us fruit, bread, cokes and fried food. Sometimes it was exactly what we needed to get through our road trips ...

Steps of faith

Part of Worshiping God is testifying what He is doing and give Him the glory for those things. Sometimes this is much easier to do when God has come through and we look back and declare His goodness. But what about when you are in the middle of a challenging situation, how do you testify in the waiting. I don't really know the answer but I think Faith and the Holy Spirit's leading has to do with it. God can give you hope in your situation and His voice gives us what is needed to hold to the vision and persevere through the hard times. So this brings me to what I want to share. I honestly didn't want to make it public that I booked my flights last week. I was afraid. Afraid of what people would think. Afraid of what could happen. Not a good place to be friends.
